Luna Rhythms This painting was inspired by a moonlight drum session on Mt. Ashland in Oregon. A small group of friends met for the summer solstice, which happened to fall on a full moon. We danced through the night on top of these gigantic granite rocks that glowed in the moonlight. The feeling was so surreal. This is an attempt o capture the hypnotic, trans-like state I was in While dancing to the heart beat of the drum, completely absorbed in the luna rhythms. V. L.
